Why we are doing this
A ticket is not a lottery ticket. It is a rescue.
Rescue is unglamorous and it is expensive. A single indie pulled off the street can need a van, a vet, an X-ray, weeks of medicine, food, and a foster home before anyone even meets them. That is what your ticket pays for.

Questions people ask
How do I know which tickets are mine?+
The moment your payment goes through, we email you your ticket numbers, one for every ticket you bought. They look like LP-0042. That email is your entry, so keep it.
Can I buy more than one ticket?+
Yes, and plenty of people do. Every ticket is a separate entry, so five tickets means five chances in the draw. You can buy up to 25 in one go, and come back for more any time before sales close.
How are winners picked?+
Every ticket number sold goes into the draw, and winners are drawn at random live on Sunday, 9 August 2026 at The Great Indie Fest. We announce winners live and on Instagram, then contact each one on the email and phone used at purchase. It is one prize per person, so the gifts reach as many supporters as possible.
What happens to my money?+
It goes straight into rescue work: the van that picks up an injured indie, the vet bill, the medicines, the food, and the foster care that follows. iAdopt has rehomed over 1500 dogs and cats in six years, and this is how that keeps going.
Do I get an 80G tax receipt?+
Not for a ticket, because you are getting a shot at a gift in return. If you want a tax-deductible donation instead, use our donate page and we will send you an 80G receipt for it.
I live outside Chennai. Can I still take part?+
Yes, you can buy tickets from anywhere in India, and your contribution helps just as much. Worth knowing before you do: almost every prize is a voucher for a Chennai business, so it is easiest to use if you live here or visit. If you win and cannot use it, you are welcome to pass it on to someone who can.
What exactly do the winners get?+
Vouchers you spend on the brand's own products: pearl jewellery from Pure Pearls, a meal at Sterling by Madras Square, coffee and food at Ciacco and Flower Brew, handcrafted brass from Ishtadevata, art from Jannal Art House, a 1 kg cake from Heidi Soul Blend, and a set of 10 polaroid prints from Nagomi. Nothing was bought with donation money, every prize was given by the brand.
