Adopt

Find your next family member among Chennai's rescued indies.

Every animal we rehome has a story — abandoned, orphaned, or rescued from the streets. All of them deserve a home that treats commitment like commitment.

Our currently adoptable pets live on Instagram (@iadopt.in). New rescues are posted there as they come in. Browse, find a pet you connect with, then fill the appropriate application form below.

How it works

Three steps from interest to home

1

Browse on Instagram

Scroll @iadopt.in for current adoptables — photos, personalities, medical status.

Open Instagram
2

Fill an application form

Choose the dog or cat form depending on who you want to adopt. Be honest — we read every one.

3

Get shortlisted & meet

If your application looks like a good fit, we'll get in touch to schedule the meet, home check, and handover.

Dogs!

Adopt a dog

For puppies, adult dogs, and seniors. We'll ask about your home, family, schedule, and other pets.

Cats!

Adopt a cat

For kittens and adult cats. We'll ask about your indoor space, other pets, and willingness to keep them safely inside.

Before you apply

Know what you're getting into — that's the point

We want you to go in with eyes open. That means understanding what the adoption process looks like, what we check for, and what happens after handover. Good adoptions are prepared ones.

1

Browse our pets on Instagram

Our active adoptable list lives on Instagram (@iadopt.in). Scroll through to see who is currently looking for a home, with photos, age, and a short personality note.

2

Fill the right application form

Dogs and cats have separate forms. We ask about your home, lifestyle, schedule, and what kind of animal fits you. There are no trick questions — just be honest.

3

Get shortlisted

If your application looks like a good fit for the animal you've chosen, we'll get in touch. Not every application leads to an adoption, and that's by design — we place for fit, not speed.

Not ready to adopt yet?

That is completely fine. Better an honest pause than a rushed yes. If adoption isn't the right move today, you can still foster, volunteer, donate, or share our posts with someone who is ready.
