Their stories

Rescued from danger.
Still in need of care.

Cabo

A fractured leg.
Deep, infected bite wounds.

Cabo was found abandoned in an area where he had been badly attacked by community dogs. He had multiple deep bite wounds across his body, a leg injury, and was frail and visibly shaken.

He was rescued immediately and rushed to the veterinary hospital. X-rays confirmed a fracture in his leg, and the bite wounds have led to an infection that needs continued treatment and monitoring.

Cabo needs weeks of medical boarding while his wounds heal and he recovers from his injuries.

Fossil

Found bleeding.
Unable to use his hind legs.

Fossil was found injured on the roadside, dragging his hind legs as he tried to move. His injuries suggested that he may have been hit by a vehicle. He was immediately rescued and admitted to the veterinary hospital.

His hind legs appear to be paralysed, possibly because of the trauma he sustained. He needs daily treatment, supportive care, nerve supplements and monitoring over the coming weeks.

We do not yet know whether Fossil will regain mobility. We are hoping for signs of improvement as treatment continues.
